I recently read a book called, “Designing your life” by (Bill and Dave). In it, they discuss how we all have multiple lives to live, clarifying that they don’t mean reincarnation, but instead, that there is not a single correct life for each of us. That resonated with me because well, I’m an engineer, an artist, and a world traveler. To further complicate things, I’m convinced that I’m entering my mid-life crisis and searching for my life’s purpose, which is one of the reasons I started reading said book. While I haven’t solved the conundrum of my life, I have identified that one of the areas I need to focus more energy on is my passion for travel and better understanding humanity as a whole.

So, why “The Traveling Spreadsheet”? Well, like any good engineer, I have to have a plan and a budget before starting any project or trip, with Excel being my go-to software for developing both. 

​

One other aspect to keep in mind while you’re looking for my expertise and guidance, I am a SINK; also known as: Single Income, No Kids. This is only important so that you can gain some insight into my preferences and decisions, meaning I'm free to do what I want (within reason), when I want (unless I have to work), and go where I want (except scary and potentially very dangerous places).

And finally, I’ve been known for talking to strangers; mostly while eating dinner at a bar. So with that in mind, look for the "Bar Stool Talk" at the end of each post.
